Trainer sharing

If you link a trainer, they always see whether you completed the workouts they assigned. Anything else is shared only if you switch it on, and you can change that or stop sharing at any time in Settings → Trainer. Trainers are independent; they are not LiftSage staff.

Always shared with a linked trainer: your display name, the status of the program they assigned you, whether and when you completed each assigned workout, and notes you send them.

Everything else is behind nine toggles that start off: sessions and sets, PRs, weekly volume, effort and readiness, ratings, plan adherence detail, goals, injuries / avoid list, and body metrics. We keep a dated record of each change.

Never shared, whatever the toggles say: session notes, the bodyweight field on sessions, AI Analysis reports, imports, your email address, your own AI-generated plans.

You link a trainer only with an invite link or code they give you, and you can have one trainer at a time.

Trainers can read what you share but can't change your log. Workouts you plan with the AI yourself during a program are labelled "Extra".

When you stop sharing, your trainer loses access straight away. You keep your copy of the program and your notes.

Who can link a trainer: adults only (18+).

You must be 18 or older to use LiftSage, including to link a trainer or apply as one.

We ask you to confirm this once. We store only that you confirmed and when, not your date of birth.

If you're under 18, please stop using LiftSage and email [TODO: legal — privacy contact email] to have your account deleted.

How we review applications. An automated system (Google's Gemini model) reads your application first: display name, years coaching, where you coach, certifications and bio. It doesn't see your profile link or email. It checks whether this looks like a genuine application from someone who coaches others. It can't verify certifications. The system can approve an application or send it to a person (the LiftSage owner). Only a person can turn an application down. If we turn you down, we'll tell you the main reason, and you can reply once with more information or corrections for a second human review. We use what you submit only to review your application. • You're responsible for the advice and programs you give. LiftSage doesn't check them.
• Your certifications are self-reported. Don't claim ones you don't hold.
• LiftSage isn't a party to your coaching relationships, including any payment between you and a client.
• Only use what clients share with you to coach them. Don't copy it out of LiftSage for anything else.
• We can remove trainer access, for example if we get complaints or the terms are broken.
